DTW worked with Northumberland Clinical Commissioning Group (Northumberland CCG) to devise and deliver a comprehensive public engagement programme to involve patients, stakeholders and local residents ‘beyond the usual suspects’ in helping shape the future of public healthcare in Northumberland.
The Healthy Northumberland campaign included focus groups, running roadshows in supermarkets and leisure centres, delivering online and face to face questionnaires, a special microsite and media relations activity.
The results were analysed by the DTW and presented in a comprehensive report to NCCG and used to help inform its senior management in creating a five year plan for submission to government on the future of healthcare in Northumberland.
It was critical for us to engage with people from across the county to get their views as to our health and care priorities moving forward. DTW’s creative approach too us out to new communities and individuals and has provided valuable patient and resident-led input to our strategic five-year plan.
